OUR GOAL is to create a friendly and productive environment for our customers and ourselves. To promote the local farming and small-business crafter's economy. To provide a lively and vibrant arena for the sale of our merchandise to our customers. To be a strong part of the general economy in the region and to promote a peaceful coexistence between the "brick and mortar" businesses and ourselves; in general to keep vital our local economy in Poultney and Rutland. To have fun and make a little money while we're doing it!

Our membership consists of more than 100 quality vendors of locally grown and produced food products such as Maple Syrup, Honey and Salsa. Along with pies, doughnuts and other yummy baked goods. Pickled foods, cheese, jams and jellies too. Also wreaths of all sizes. Plus crafts of huge variety. Handmade dolls and bears, jewelry, hand spun yarn, felted creations, Americana, Tole Painting, pottery, candles, soaps, lotions, quilts, rugs, lampshades, hats, cozy fleece and on and on and on!

Join our market! As we mentioned earlier, our dues are very reasonable and we are some of the friendliest (and most colorful) folks you'll meet. Each new member will receive a copy of our Rules and Regs which you should keep on your person at each Market day...If you would like a copy now, just call Charles at 802-273-2735 and he'll send you sign-up sheets too or email him at: rudislakesidegarden@yahoo.com. He will also have copies available on opening day to pass out to everyone as they arrive.

NOFA Vermont is a non-profit association of farmers, gardeners, and consumers working to promote an economically viable and ecologically sound Vermont food system for the benefit of current and future generations.
NOFA was originally founded in Putney, Vermont in 1971 and is one of the oldest organic farming associations in the US. We have grown from a small group of individuals to over 1000 members in Vermont. Today, there are seven state chapters in the Northeast and an Interstate Council.
